Calvary Center School

Calvary Center School Calvary Center preschool in Annapolis practices learning through play and values-based education.

Our curriculum is designed to stimulate and encourage growth of the whole child. Social studies, science, math, art and language art lessons are incorporated on an age appropriate level throughout the week. We also offer weekly: Chapel (Wednesday), Music (Monday and Thursday), and Physical Education (Tuesday and Friday). Our academic program is from 9:00am to noon, with optional extended care from

7:30am to 5:30pm. Our school year begins on the Tuesday after Labor Day and ends on the Thursday before Memorial Day; however, we offer an optional extension of our program until at least the third week of June.

Some views from our very special preschool, offering morning classes for 3s, 4s and 5s with extended care from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Our new PreK+ class runs until 1:30 and is designed for older 4s, young 5s and emerging readers, and will be taught by a state-certified teacher.

Spots in 4s classes are almost full, but we have 2-3 openings available, and our 3s are filling fast! Please see our page at Calvary Center School for more information and email [email protected] for a tour now!

Wellness is important so we teach our preschoolers self-care skills everyday. February is Dental Health month so dental hygienist, Ms. Lisa, and her toothy dinosaur buddy came to tell us about taking care of our teeth. We also have a speech therapist who conducts screenings of our students right here at school.

We love having family members visit our classroom for parties, to read to us and to share their jobs and interests!

A few fabulously fun fall activities at Calvary Center School!

Apple taste-testing and graphing with our 3s (see what we did, sneaking in some math there?). Homemade play dough for Yellow Day and tissue collage apples with seeds by our 4s.

And the highlight of early October, Fire Safety Month, a fire truck visit from our local firefighters!
