Master percussionist Tom Teasley teams up with acclaimed Indian bansuri flutist John Wubbenhorst for the final concert in the 2025 Art of the Duo series. Wubbenhorst—renowned for his mastery of the bamboo bansuri, honed under the legendary Hariprasad Chaurasia—delivers "a stunning virtuoso display of the bamboo flute… the compositions and arrangements are equally impressive," according to The Washington Post. His deeply expressive performance melds the meditative power of North Indian raga with improvisational depth drawn from jazz and world music traditions.

Described by Modern Drummer’s Bruce Wittet as “part Stravinsky, part Art Blakey,” Teasley brings an expansive rhythmic palette to the duo, pushing boundaries with every instrument. Together, they create an immersive evening of musical exploration—melding raga, jazz rhythm, and resonant improvisation for an unforgettable finale.
