There's nothing quite like arriving at your final day of St. Anne's School to a celebration worthy of the occasion! 🎉🎈
Our Soon-to-Be Graduates were welcomed in style with confetti, balloons, music, and an outpouring of love and support from the Seventh Grade class this morning.

Big questions. Meaningful research. Confident presentations.
Last week our Fourth Grade students showcased months of inquiry and hard work at their annual Exhibition. From dyslexia and Tourette Syndrome to nutrition and public health, students explored real-world topics that matter to them and shared their learning with faculty and staff, peers, and parents.
We're so proud of the curiosity, thoughtfulness, and poise our Fourth Grade leaders demonstrated throughout the process. If their Exhibition presentations are any indication, these students are more than ready to take the next step into Upper School next year!

See you soon, PYC Stars! Until then, have a wonderful summer!

What is the ultimate goal of a St. Anne’s School education? To graduate changemakers.
Last week, our Eighth Grade students presented their Capstone projects—the culmination of months of research, service, reflection, and action. Their topics tackled some of society’s most pressing challenges, including mental and physical health, conservation, sustainability, education, and housing inequality.
But these presentations were about more than identifying problems. They were about developing the knowledge, empathy, courage, and conviction to make a difference.
Through expert interviews, community service, creative expression, and personal reflection, our students demonstrated what it means to be thoughtful leaders and engaged citizens. They challenged assumptions, explored diverse perspectives, and proposed meaningful ways to create positive change in their communities and beyond.
At St. Anne’s School, our 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦 is not simply a student who has mastered academic content—it is a young person who is prepared to lead with purpose, act with compassion, and use their voice to make the world better.
The future is in good hands with our soon-to-be Star Alumni. 🌟

Our students hopped outside the classroom and into some un-frog-gettable field experiences this spring. 🐸🌟
From exploring the Chesapeake Bay and paddle boarding with oyster conservationists to visiting historic Philadelphia, the aquarium, the zoo, and even camping under the stars, our students brought classroom lessons to life through hands-on adventures.
Field experiences do more than deepen academic learning—they build confidence, strengthen friendships, foster teamwork, and create lasting memories. Because when students can see it, touch it, and experience it firsthand, learning becomes even more meaningful.

Why is the Princess of Wales visiting Reggio Emilia, Italy to learn about early childhood education? Because the Reggio Emilia approach is widely recognized as one of the most influential educational philosophies in the world—and our youngest learners experience its benefits every day at St. Anne’s School. 🐋🌊
Recently, our Reggio Emilia-inspired Prekindergarten students chose to study orcas and other marine animals. Their investigation included research books, live-stream observations, scientific drawings, and clay models—but they still had questions. So, as true Reggio educators, our teachers turned to the community for an expert.
Enter Capt. Chris, a marine biologist and uncle to one of our PreK students, who shared his work studying and tracking whales in the Arctic and answered students’ thoughtful questions.
At St. Anne’s School, Reggio Emilia isn’t just a philosophy we admire—it’s a daily practice that empowers children to follow their curiosity, engage deeply with meaningful topics, and connect with experts who bring learning to life. No trip to Italy required. 🌟
