Meet the Instructors - Caleb Lathom, Lead Opti Instructor

We're excited to welcome Caleb Lathom back to the Eastport Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program as our Lead Opti Instructor this summer!

Caleb's sailing journey began at EYC when he was just 7 years old, introduced to the sport by his grandmother—a lifelong sailor and EYC member since 1997. Since then, he has spent every summer on the water, sailing, racing, and participating in camp programs before becoming a Junior Instructor at age 15.

Now entering his fourth year as a sailing instructor, Caleb brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and a deep connection to the EYC community. Outside of sailing, he is a commercial pilot who is expanding his teaching experience as he works toward becoming a Certified Flight Instructor this fall.

Please join us in welcoming Caleb back to the waterfront for another great summer!
