We, at the REYES campaign, have shared Cynthia REYES platform, which is very clear and straight forward.
-Focus on academics
-Support parental rights
-Advocate to protect students
-Impartial decision-making w/no special interest group influence
-Being mindful of spending taxpayer money
Unlike the personal attacks that have been directed at Cynthia REYES, whether by incumbents or their supporters, we have run a very clean campaign and will continue to do so. Cynthia and her campaign team will never make baseless claims, nor resort to ad hominem.
With early voting underway, mail-in ballots still left to be cast and one week left until Election Day, we feel it is an optimal time to shed light on truth, which will help voters make well-informed decisions when casting their ballot.

Numerous constituents have claimed Cynthia REYES wants to bring politics in the school district, simply based on the fact she's been endorsed by Assemblyman, Erik Peterson and John DiMaio, in addition to Hunterdon County Sheriff, Fred Brown and 101.5 Radio Show Host, Bill Spadea.
This is false and there's no evidence to support this claim, which makes it baseless.
Like Cynthia REYES, these elected officials (and radio show host) have vehemently spoken out AGAINST POLITICS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONCERNED ABOUT BOE CANDIDATES BRINGING POLITICS INTO THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM:
One of the two incumbents Cynthia REYES is running against has a school bus yellow bar with a Black Apple on his campaign signs. This shows direct support from a Progressive political activist organization - ATNJ (Action Together New Jersey).
This organization has intertwined itself and the ideologies it holds, in public schools and its elections, yet the very people who say Cynthia REYES is bringing politics into the district, support a BOE candidate, who actually has accepted help from a Progressive political activist group that actively pursues helping elect BOE candidates of their choice, who support the many political, social and sexual ideologies that are constantly being pushed in our public schools. This is actually bringing politics into the schools.
ATNJ is listed as a 501(c)(3).

According to the IRS:
"Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes."
Code of Ethics for school board members state:
F. "I will refuse to surrender my independent judgement to special interest or partisan political groups or to use the schools for personal gain or for the gain of friends."
This activist organization wants their political, social and sexual agendas in public schools that many parents do not want and have been pushing back against - hence Cynthia REYES slogan - "EDUCATION NOT POLITICS."
Cynthia REYES is pro-education.
Cynthia REYES believes in having respect for one another regardless of ideological differences.
However, religion, politics and sexuality/sexual behaviors DO NOT belong in public school.
Let's focus on the business of academic excellence.
