Your math challenge for today is to find at least one complementary angle, one set of supplementary angles, a right angle, a straight angle, and an obtuse angle in this picture.

A: Possible answers include:
-Complementary angle: the 90 degree angle of the bridge to the cement pillar
One set of Supplementary angles: the 90 degree angles of the bridge to the cement pillar on the left and right which equal 180 degrees
-Right angle: the 90 degree angle made from the bridge to the top of the cement pillar
-Straight angle: the horizontal (180 degree) bridge
-Obtuse angle: the part of the cement pillar that results in an angle greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees

Ready to challenge your mind after Spring Break?

Q: If you were tossing an Easter egg, at an initial height of 6 feet, to a friend, at a velocity of 4 feet per second but it dropped, how long does it take the egg to hit the ground? (Use the vertical motion model h = -16t^2 + vt + s)

A: If you calculated t = 3/4 seconds you are correct! Although you calculate two values for t, the one that is negative is not valid since we cannot have negative time.
