📹📱I have a student who likes to send me video “proof” that she played a piece with no mistakes. She sent me this screenshot to show me how many times she played a piece to get the final video. While I’m not sure this is the best practice method, she gets an A for effort 👏👏👏

It’s an exciting weekend at the Virginia Music Teachers Association State Conference — and this year it’s right in my backyard at George Mason University in Fairfax! 🎶

I’m honored to be performing in the Annual Teachers Concert and to be one of this year’s presenters. My session, “It’s Not Over Till It’s Over: Crafting Effective Endings Using Sound, Silence, and Gesture” focuses on helping students create intentional conclusions to their performances.

Looking forward to a weekend of music, inspiration, and connection with fellow teachers. 💫
