What an Amazing Open House! 🎒✨

It was so wonderful seeing all of our Columbia Elementary families and students back in the building! The energy was incredible, and seeing so many bright smiles made our halls feel complete again.

Welcoming New Faces to CES! 👋🍎

We are so lucky to officially welcome six incredible new educators to Columbia Elementary! A huge CES welcome to Ms. Emily Berthelsen, Ms. Jayden Stoddard, Ms. Kayla Howard, Ms. Lena Caffal, Ms. Halle Strosser, and Mr. Matt Zupan! 🌟

Longtime CES teacher Ms. Stone organized a wonderful first day breakfast for them. They are all super excited to meet our students and families soon.❤️

The Real Superheroes of Columbia Elementary! 🧹✨

When our students and staff walk through the doors on the first day of school, everything is going to shine, and we have three incredible people to thank for that!

A massive THANK YOU to Mr. Ming, Ms. Carmen, and Ms. Mary! 🌟 They’ve spent the hot summer months working tirelessly behind the scenes to deep clean, polish, repair, and prepare every single classroom and hallway for a fresh new school year.

Robotics and workforce training weren't just for high schoolers this past year! 🚀 Columbia secured a Virginia Department of Education STEAM grant to bring new robots to the classroom. This funding helped build the school's robotics program. These tools allowed students to develop critical communication and decision-making skills early on.
