Blasting into space!

Inspired by educator and artist Lynda Barry, students in Professor Jaime Alves’s “Literature Lab: Teaching Writing” course take attendance each week by drawing their own self-portraits.

Students create aliases, too, to remember that we can always discover and "write from" a host of other voices or personae inside of us.
