Congratulations to Bard Prep student Isabel Luzzi for her First Prize win in the Apprentice category of the 21st Annual Chopin Piano Competition, which took place in Latham, NY.

This semester, students in Susanne Son's Piano Technique Class worked on Hémiones (trans: mules and donkeys) from Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.

"We attempted to work on speed by exploring different fi*****ng options that would work best for each individual. While students were responsible for taking care of their own part, they also had to contend with trying to match their partner note for note. Not an easy task! Check out the results..."

The Bard Prep Chorus will join the Bard Baroque Ensemble, Chamber Singers, and Graduate Vocal Arts Program for Bach's Cantata 111 this Friday at 7 pm in Olin Hall.
