Levy Institute Graduate Programs in Economic Theory and Policy The Levy Graduate programs are an alternative to mainstream graduate programs in economics and finan The Levy Institute M.A. M.S. and the M.S. in five years.

and M.S programs emphasize theoretical and empirical aspects of economic policy analysis through specialization in one of the Levy Institute's main areas of research: Macroeconomic Theory, Policy, and Modeling; Monetary Policy and Financial Structure; Distribution of Income, Wealth, and Well-being; Gender Equality and Time Poverty; and Employment and Labor Markets. Both programs draw on the expertise of an extensive network of scholars at the Levy Economics Institute, an independent, nonprofit think tank with more than 25 years' experience in economic theory and public policy research. students are required to participate in a graduate research practicum on their second year carried out by Levy Institute scholars and faculty. Undergraduates in economics or related fields have an opportunity, through a 3+2 program, to earn both their B.A.

The Levy Graduate Programs in Economic Theory and Policy were created to offer students an alternative to mainstream programs in economics and finance. These innovative programs combine a rigorous course of study with the exceptional opportunity to participate in advanced economics research alongside Levy Institute Scholars.Ā
