Growing as Readers! 📚
Mrs. Sopko’s 4th graders are building strong reading skills through independent reading and engaging comprehension games! Students are practicing reading independently, thinking deeply about what they read, and showing their understanding by answering comprehension questions. We love seeing them learn, challenge themselves, and have fun while they grow as readers! 💜📖

Ms. Ficklin is celebrating her birthday with her students today with a little math fun! She put her birth year on the board and challenged her students to calculate how old she is! 🎈

What a fun way to mix birthday celebrations with learning! 🚀✨ We hope Ms. Ficklin has the BEST birthday!

Ms. Williams’ Kindergarten class has been busy exploring linear and array dot configurations with the numbers 3, 4, and 5!

Last week, we had our House Reveal Assembly, and the excitement was everywhere! Each student received a special envelope revealing their House Color!

💛 Respect — Yellow
💚 Ownership — Green
💙 Excellence — Blue
💜 Self-Control — Purple
❤️ Honesty — Red

Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to earn points for their house by demonstrating these important character traits at school! ⭐

We can’t wait to watch our students encourage one another, show their Hendricks HERO qualities, and see which house earns the most points!

Some of our 3rd–5th grade students got to enjoy a special pizza party for their hard work over the summer!

These students were our Top Reflex Math Summer Point Earners! We are so proud of them for keeping their math skills sharp and putting in the extra effort during summer break.
