Shawnee Hills Arts Council A Not-for-Profit 501(c)3 supporting and encouraging Performing, Visual, and Literary Arts in Southern Illinois

The Shawnee Hills Arts Council/Anna Arts Center sponsors and hosts many special events throughout the year that include: Color the Town, Strictly Digital Exhibit, 4th thru 12th Grade Art Exhibit, Art/Drama camps, and Holiday Bazaar. Each year, we put on a number of other events, including Civil War Weekend, Poetry Workshops, Genealogy Seminars, and Full-Blown Musical Productions and plays. Also, we hire Local and Regional Performers for shows throughout the season. In Addition, we also offer classes for ALL AGES in the Arts, in Spring, and Summer. Its Christmas, Carol!
The elves are happily bustling around, putting the final touches on the presents! Everyone is excited! except for The lead elf, Carol. Carol is the definition of the word “grump.” Join the fun as the ghosts of holiday past, present and future each pay a visit to Carol and help her see why holiday time IS a big deal and that it's never too late to get the holiday spirit!

Enter if you dare! Our annual Haunted House will be open every weekend in October if you think you are brave enough.

The scare fest will be open from 7-9 pm every Friday and Saturday throughout the month of October and will be open extra-long from 6-11 pm on Halloween night! Admission is $7 per person or $30 for a group of 5.

Do people often get startled from you sneaking up on them? Have you ever been called 'Lurch' as a not-so-joking nickname? Have Butterfingers and Starbursts rotten the teeth out of your head?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then we need your help! Even if none of that applies to you then consider helping out the SHAC and Ethan for some spooky season fun. It will be here before you know it but there is a lot of preparation that goes into making our annual Haunted House a terrifying, nail-biting success.
