How is everyone's renewal going? I finished my continuing education hours up on Wednesday in Sarasota. I plan on logging in and finishing up the renewal process today. If you are still looking for general hours, here are the courses I am offering this renewal cycle.

Got your renewal notice yet? Mine arrived early last week.

What courses are you taking this renewal? I still have a few hours left and looking for some ideas. Thanks!

Just checking in with everyone. How is work or your business going since your return to work? I see that LA county in Cali is finally allowing indoor massage for the first time this week. They have been allowed to practice outside since July. Below is an article on how massage therapists had to adapt there since the beginning of that time.

Since the approval of the human trafficking course, I have been busy with some other projects, including automatic reporting to CE Broker. That should be completed very soon.

Some counties in California have not allowed personal care businesses to reopen. Other counties have moved them exclusively outdoors.

For the 2021 renewal, do you plan to use the new Rule change and find distance learning CE courses, or do you plan to still attend live/in person CE trainings? (Facebook is not allowing me to post a poll this morning, so just let me know in the comments.)

P.S. Here is a link to the change. It opens in Word.

One year until the 2021 renewal deadline! Hoping the second half is a little less chaotic than the first for everyone.

39 Children rescued from trafficking. Children! Many of those arrested in connection with this bust are Florida residents. Keep your eyes open.

Law enforcement officers describe them as some of the most challenging recovery cases in the state, but Thursday the U.S. Marshals Service announced the rescue of 39 missing children from all over Georgia.

I am pleased to see the recent increase of people sharing information and resources about Human trafficking atrocities, particularly child trafficking.

Too many have been silent on this issue for too long! And education on the subject is critical to freeing modern day slaves in Florida and around the world.

Unfortunately, the board of massage has STILL not approved my human trafficking course. Yes, it has been over nine months since I sent it in for review! I offered the course well before the new law was enacted because I saw a need for education on the subject within our profession.

Again, as soon as I hear back from them, I will let you all know.

While we wait, here is an excellent page to follow that is dedicated to helping human trafficking victims. https://www.facebook.com/OURrescuehttps://www.facebook.com/OURrescue
