It’s been 3 years since earning my PhD from the University of Massachusetts Boston, College of Education, School for Global Inclusion and Social Development. It was quite a journey of profound growth. 5 years of Research Study on the “Impact of Black Studies in Predominantly White Schools taught by Black Male Teachers” intensive academic Reading and Writing, Comprehensive Exams, Presentations, IRB protocols, Dissertation revisions, my Methodology, Black Rationalism and Epistemology, Committee meetings, Literature Reviews, mixed methods Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis, Data collection, did I mention EDITING, Defense, PUBLICATION … and balancing LIFE has been a true testament to dedication. But it was worth it.
