Dress warmly, consider sending a change of clothes, and get ready to RUN! We’re ready for any weather and a LOT of fun.

Tomorrow, hundreds of Bryant-Pattengill students will run, cheer, laugh, race their friends, and probably get very, very sweaty.

But what happens after tomorrow?

Your Fun Run donations help make possible the field trips, classroom support, family events, and student experiences we’ll be planning all year long.

We have 24 hours left to finish fundraising! If you have friends or family who said they’d donate but haven’t gotten around to it yet, this is a great time to give them a little nudge.

And seriously — thank you for donating, sharing, texting relatives, posting on social media, and putting up with all of our Fun Run reminders these past few weeks. We know there have been a LOT of them. 😂 We’re so grateful for the way our Bryant-Pattengill community shows up for our kids.

Now let’s finish strong and get ready to cheer these kiddos on tomorrow! ❤️

Last-minute Fun Run questions? We've got answers!

Q: Can I come watch my kid run?
A: Of course! Sign in at the office, then come cheer! Bring your loudest voice, colorful signs, noise makers, or just your general enthusiasm. Let's make sure those kiddos know we support them!

Q: What's the schedule?
A: Bryant: 2nd Grade — 9:30 AM | 1st Grade — 10:15 AM | Y5/Kindergarten — 11:00 AM
Pattengill: 3rd Grade — 12:30 PM | 4th Grade — 1:15 PM | 5th Grade — 2:00 PM

Q: Can my kid participate if we haven't donated?
A: YES! This is an all-school event. Kids will show up, move their bodies, run some laps, and have a great time.

Q: Is it too late to donate?
A: We see you, last-minute parents. We are you. 😂 The GiveButter site is open through Friday, and donations made there will count toward prizes!

After Friday, you can still donate through the PTO website using a credit card, PayPal, or Venmo — just tag your payment “Fun Run.”

Q: What should my kid wear?
A: Comfy clothes, weather-appropriate layers, and sneakers ready to MOVE. (Please don't send them in their brand-new white shoes. We cannot be responsible for what happens next. 😂)

🏃‍♀️ Okay, but where does all that Fun Run money actually go? 👀

📚 School supplies & staff support
You know that giant school-supply shopping list that arrives every August? Nope, because BryPat families don’t get one. 😉 The District & PTO make sure our classrooms have the supplies and support teachers need throughout the year.

🎉 School events & enrichment
Assemblies, special guests, school-wide events and all the fun extras that make school magical.

🚌 Field trips & enrichment
Helping get our kids out into the world to learn, explore and experience things they just can’t get from a classroom.

🏫 Administration & operations
The not-so-glamorous-but-necessary stuff that keeps the PTO running.

We’re aiming for $100 per student, but we know that’s a lot for some families. There’s no guilt and no pressure—every dollar helps. ❤️

We are thrilled to share that the Bryant-Pattengill PTO received a $10,715 grant from the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation for field trips! That means more chances for our students to learn, explore, and discover outside the classroom. We are so grateful to the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation for investing in our kids!

Now, we'd love your help! Our community is full of amazing interests and interesting people. Do you have a connection to a local business, museum, farm, lab, or organization that could make a great field trip? Unique ideas are always so helpful as teachers plan their field trips, so reply to this post or contact [email protected] to share!

THE FUN RUN FAQ NOBODY ASKED FOR
But you might be wondering…

Q: What exactly is a Fun Run?
A: A school-wide celebration where kids run, walk, skip, dance, wiggle, cartwheel, and generally have a great time together. Basically, it’s a party where the kids happen to be moving. This year's event is on Friday, October 16.

Q: What if my kid is NOT athletic?
A: PERFECT. Neither is the PTO. 😂 It’s a Fun Run, not the Olympics. There’s no prize for finishing first, and kids can go at their own pace.

Q: How much are we hoping each student will raise?
A: Our goal is $100 per student, but it’s a goal—not a requirement. Please don’t stress if $100 isn’t in the cards. Every donation helps, whether it’s $5 or $500. ❤️

Q: Who am I supposed to ask for money?
A: Grandparents. Aunts and uncles. Family friends. Neighbors. That person you haven’t texted since 2022 but who still likes all your Facebook posts. 😂

Q: What happens when the WHOLE SCHOOL raises money?
A: We unlock fun things for everyone!

🍿 $5,000: Snacks — ALREADY UNLOCKED! 🎉
📸 $10,000: A photo booth at the event
🪩 $15,000: A glow stick party this fall
🛝 50% participation in a grade: EXTRA RECESS for that grade!

Q: What if we’ve already donated?
A: You’re a Fun Run legend. 🏆

Q: What if we haven’t started yet?
A: Consider this your gentle nudge. 😏
