Maureen Kenny is a master's student at the University of Michigan School of Public Health with her coursework / research is focused on health policy and maternal and child health. This year she is supporting Program for Multicultural Health as an intern through the Public Health Action Support Team (PHAST).
Maureen has a bachelor's in political science and global affairs from the University of Notre Dame where she learned the value of diverse perspectives in achieving human development goals. Her time serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal, West Africa, underscored this value and ignited her passion for women's health outreach and advocacy.
In her current role as a program evaluation intern, she aims to collect valuable feedback from community participants and translate those insights into meaningful enhancements to program delivery.

The weather is getting warmer, and here in the Great Lakes State, that means spending more time around lakes and pools!
It's important to supervise young children in the water. At group gatherings, it can be easy to assume that someone else is watching kids in the water. Water watcher tags can serve as an easy reminder that the person wearing the tag is responsible for supervising kids.
