If you’ve got a summer internship you’re proud of, let’s tell the world.
UMSI students, you’re invited to submit this quick form for a chance to have your experience featured on UMSI social media: myumi.ch/8J5wP
Submissions accepted through Aug. 18. The earlier you submit, the better your chance of being featured.
You don’t have to wait until your internship is wrapping up, either — just share a reflection from where you are right now. You can always resubmit if your work evolves.

The 10th cohort of UMSI’s Community College Summer Institute just wrapped three days on campus — and what a jam-packed, fun-fueled, info-tacular three days it was!
27 community college students from across Michigan explored real-deal information science topics like artificial intelligence, privacy, programming and user experience; connected with UMSI faculty, staff and current students; and relaxed with soccer, badminton, spikeball and visits to the Nichols Arboretum and Pinball Pete’s.
By the end of the program, every participant earned an official transfer readiness certificate — and the knowledge that landing at U-M is achievable. More than 100 CCSI alumni have already proven it.

Work, school, fun: We spend most of our time with our screens. UMSI alumna and design researcher Pamela Pavliscak (MSI ’98) is helping people make sense of the emotions that come with being so plugged in.
Her new book, “All the Feels: How to Stay Human in the Digital World,” is a guide to how the internet makes us feel — and what we can do to stay well without staying offline.
