Michigan Dining spent the day in Detroit alongside our corporate partners and Executive Chefs, exploring Eastern Market and connecting with local vendors, including LaGrasso Bros. and Mitten Cut. The visit also included a stop for lunch at Supino Pizzeria.

Experiences like these reinforce our commitment to sustainability, local sourcing, and supporting Michigan agriculture. It was inspiring to meet the people behind the products and hear firsthand about their dedication to building a more sustainable food system. We’re proud to partner with organizations and vendors who share our values and help bring fresh, locally sourced ingredients to our campus community.

Michigan Dining wrapped up the year with an unforgettable End-of-the-Year Celebration, bringing our team together to recognize the hard work, passion, and dedication that made this year such a success.

The event was filled with laughter, great memories, and meaningful recognition as we celebrated 32 award winners and numerous honorable mentions across a variety of categories, including the A Place at Our Table Award, Sustainability Award, Food Education Award, Speak Up Award, Recognition Hero Award, Development Investor Award, Student Experience Award, and the prestigious Director’s Award.

Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients and thank you to every member of the Michigan Dining team for your commitment to creating exceptional dining experiences and fostering a welcoming community. Your efforts make a difference every day, and we’re proud to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished together.
