Washtenaw Association of Retired School Personnel (WARSP) invites all educators covered by Michigan Public Schools Employees Retirement System (MPSERS) to join. It serves the needs of those who have retired or will retire from public schools in Michigan, including teachers, secretaries, administrators, cafeteria workers, custodians, bus drivers, and paraprofessionals and their spouses. WARSP is a chapter of MARSP, the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel, which has many local chapters in Michigan as well as some in the warmer states. Our chapter usually has four meetings a year, during the fall and spring. We meet at Weber's, with lunch following our program. Speakers usually include the Blue Cross Blue Shield person who deals with the Medicare Advantage PPO and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO policies that are two of the health insurance policies available through MPSERS. In May we have a presentation from MARSP.ORG to update us on legislative issues and health insurance.
