Assalamu alaikum,
Muslim Community Association of Ann Arbor's fundraising campaign for H.O.M.E. — MCA's second campus — is NOW live, and they have until September 25 to reach the goal.
What makes this different from any campaign they have run before: the property comes with 23 businesses. Their rental income sustains the campus itself — a true waqf, so our community isn't dependent on continuous fundraising.
Permanent support for prayer spaces, classrooms, and youth programs, for generations to come.
This Saturday — HOME Fundraising Dinner Sat, Aug 15, 6:00 PM at Wayne Tree Manor, 35100 Van Born Rd, Wayne With Shaykh Yasir Qadhi & Shaykh Abdullah Waheed, registration required: https://us.mohid.co/mi/annarbor/mca/masjid/online/ticketing/event/N2d3ajB0UzBKdFpnODdibERodE1Jdz09

Assalamu Alaikum,
We are closely monitoring the Canadian wildfires and are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff in our Summer Camp program. This includes moving activities indoors, limiting outdoor exposure, and encouraging our community to do the same.
Please take the following precautions:
1. Limit time spent outdoors. If you must go outside, wear a well-fitting mask to reduce exposure.
2. Keep windows and doors closed.
3. Stay hydrated, especially during the heat wave.
May Allah keep everyone safe and protected during these challenging times.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
To Him we belong, and to Him we shall return.
It is with heavy hearts, and with complete faith in the decree of Allah (SWT), that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Elizabeth Handy, mother of Yasmeen, Aaliyah, Yusuf Eldeeb, and wife of Dr. Ahmed Eldib.
Sr. Liz was a cherished member of our community, a devoted parent of Michigan Islamic Academy students, and a dedicated summer camp and club advisor. She was known for her kindness, culinary talent, compassion, and the love and care she showed to everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Janazah prayer and burial took place in Egypt.
We ask Allah (SWT) to forgive her, envelop her in His infinite mercy, expand and illuminate her grave, and grant her the highest place in Jannat al-Firdaus. May Allah (SWT) grant her family and loved ones strength, patience, and comfort during this difficult time.
Please keep Sr. Liz and her family in your du'as.
May Allah (SWT) accept her good deeds, forgive her shortcomings, and grant her eternal peace in Jannat al-Firdaus.
