Finishing up a super fun week celebrating NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child and how special each child in our care is!

🎨 Artsy Thursday was filled with arts and crafts using different mediums, letting creativity shine.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Friday focused on activities about families, community, and the places we call home.

These were just a few of the many fun and meaningful activities we shared this week!

We are celebrating the Week of the Young Child, a special time dedicated to creativity, learning, and community!

As a NAEYC-accredited early education center, we love joining this nationwide celebration that brings educators, families, and children together through hands-on learning and fun.

Here are just a few of the activities we’ve enjoyed so far!

We kicked things off with Music Monday 🎶 exploring new instruments and songs, Tasting Tuesday 🍎 making homemade butter and trying new fruits and veggies, and Work Together Wednesday 🤝 creating group art, completing puzzles, and building houses as a team. We love seeing our young learners explore, create, and grow together!

Our STEAM-based summer camp inspires creativity, encourages skill growth, and guarantees lots of fun! 🧑‍🔬🎨

Today, our Executive Director and one of our board members volunteered at the Women of Influence Summit, hosted by United Way for Southeastern Michigan at Ford Field 🦁

At Foundations, we love supporting community partners like UWSEM. Each year, this event celebrates International Women’s Day while raising critical funds for early childhood education and empowering women across our community.

Last week, one of our parents visited as a Mystery Reader to teach the children about Ramadan, a holiday celebrated by people of the Muslim faith. She shared the history, traditions, and how it is celebrated today. It is always so fun to learn about the cultures and traditions of the families in our community. 🌙✨

✨ Watching our little ones grow and let their imaginations run wild is the best part of every day ✨

Through play and child-led activities, our kiddos are building creativity, confidence, and important social-emotional skills, all while having so much fun 💛🎨🧩

This week was a beautiful reflection of the diversity within our Foundations family. 💛

With Ash Wednesday, Chinese New Year, and Ramadan all taking place, it was a meaningful opportunity to recognize and learn about the traditions that are important to the families we serve. 🌎✨

We are proud to be a community where every child and family feels seen, valued, and supported in honoring their own cultural and faith practices.
