We had a great first week at our Session 1: Clay and Play camp!
Here's a little view into our texture tiles process that we explored this past Tuesday in preparation for our guest artist, Miranda Hitzemann, who visited us on Wednesday to show us how to put these tiles together to make a texture house.
The final piece is the last photo.
We are looking forward to welcoming our new group on Monday, July 1st for our Session 2: Stamp and Stomp class where we learn how to make two kinds of stamps, how to print on fabric and how to create together with what we made as we embark on a mural project called 'Community Stamp!'
The art classes take place for the last hour of the camp after Miss T takes us on a hike through the trails where we learn nature games and share in observations and discussions about our experiences. We hike and play, have lunch, and then settle in to explore art skills and mediums.
There are still a few spots left in our Stamp and Stomp class!
