Salaam everyone!
A couple peers are starting an organization that focuses on minority women empowerment and will host a Muslim woman’s conference.
Are you interested in leading an organization that highlights the voices of traditionally under-represented women in the feminist movement? How about hosting a conference that seeks to empower and educate on the subject of Muslim women?
MPower is a women’s empowerment organization that looks at the mainstream feminist movement through the lens of intersectional and transnational feminism. We are currently looking for passionate and committed individuals to join the leadership board for the organization as well as the steering committee for our first event: Jannah at Her Feet (a Muslim woman education and empowerment conference). Time commitment will be about 5-6 hours a week.
