🇺🇸 Veterans Day 2022 🇺🇸

SVA members at the PTK hosted Game Night. Karl and Rebekah got up for charades. Carter, Larry, and Mike caroused with officers from the PTK, and other WCC students. General shenanigans all in the name of building stronger community.

Gorgeous day out on the water. Pulled up for apple cider and donuts at the Dexter Cider Mill. We saw deer, a snapping turtle (that boi was huge), a wood duck drake in eclipse plumage (good eye Larry), herons, a kingfisher, eagles (thank you Nate for spotting them), and schools of huge trout. As it turns out, Jake has a great singing voice and we got to hear, "Bones In The Ocean." Some of us surfed class II rapids, but we all went over them. Thank you to everyone for an amazing day.

Your fearless leaders behind the scenes rounding up the gear for our first SVA kayak trip. If you see Larry ask him how dedicated we were to mission accomplishment. It's a pretty funny story.

No meeting today. Our next meeting will be October 4th!

OK, so first day of class starts tomorrow the 29th!!! Welcome back. The semesters first SVA meeting as of right now will be held in room LA 230 on Tuesday, September 6 2022 at 3:30 to 4:30. I hope to see you there. Also if there is anybody interested we are going to be looking for two new officers this semester as well.

Well i hope everyone summer is going well!!! If you are still in the area you should really come to Washtenaw's first ever Vet Fest this Saturday July 23rd. there will be free food, raffles, stuff for the kiddos if you have any. The biggest thing though is that there will be other vets and Veteran services out there for you guys. click the link and sign up so we can have an accurate headcount. Also we are still looking for volunteers if you would like to help!!!
