NEWS! The Common App just released their essay prompts for the 2026-2027 application season. If you've been planning ahead, it's good news! The topics are the same as last year's.

One key takeaway: More than 1 in 4 applicants chose their *own* topic (prompt #7). Proof that there's no better story than the one you're most excited to tell.
