5 students played at a masterclass offered at the UM School of Music, Theater and Dance. Graduate students in the piano pedagogy program coached each student on their piece and performance. Everyone played beautifully!

A number of students had fun performing in costume today at the annual Halloween Hoot at the Faber Piano Institute. My hope is that when these wonderful young pianists grow up, they remember having fun performing and making it a wonderful, uplifting day for everyone in the audience - not just the parents!

🎹 We are excited to welcome composer and pianist Connor Chee to Ann Arbor for the premiere of his newly commissioned piano etudes, performed by our member Joel Schoenhals at Kerrytown Concert House on September 27 and October 4. As part of his visit, Chee will give a special lecture on October 1 at The Faber Institute, where he'll share insights into his Navajo-inspired works, exploring the cultural and spiritual traditions behind his music, along with live performances.
