Lean In On Campus was launched in the fall of 2013 by Sheryl Sandberg to reach out to undergraduate and graduate students. We are honored to serve as your Lean In Campus Ambassadors at the University of Michigan. We hosted a kick off event in February, and we hope to plan more events next year. Lean In On Campus strives to create a conversation about gender equity on campus and in the workforce. T
he goal is to encourage men and women to form dialogue circles as sources of ongoing inspiration and support to empower them to achieve their goals! Our belief is that if we talk openly about the challenges women face, we can change the trajectory of women and create a better world for everyone. In February of 2014, Lean In became an official student organization recognized by the University of Michigan. As an official club, we hope to create many campus wide events, raise awareness about gender equity, and create many circles to empower both women and men. For any additional information, please visit our Maizepage at https://maizepages.umich.edu/organization/leaninmichigan. Created by Sheryl Sandberg, Lean In has become an organization that is changing the lives of women across the United States. Her book, Lean In, has become a national best seller. Lean In is committed to offering women the ongoing inspiration and support to help them achieve their goals. This is achieved through small groups that meet monthly to encourage and support each other in an atmosphere of confidentiality and trust. The organization also offers a library of free online lectures on topics including leadership and communication. Find more information at leanin.org.
