Earth Day Quilting Day — Update

We have some disappointing news: due to an unexpected venue change, our Earth Day Quilting Day on Saturday, April 25 will no longer be open to the public. We're so sorry to anyone who was looking forward to joining us — we were looking forward to sewing with you. Thank you for your understanding and support — we hope to bring this event back to the community soon.

After a long hiatus, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library has restarted their annual quilt exhibit exhibit and has once again invited the A2MQG to provide the quilts for the show. A selection of sixteen quilts made by guild members will be on display. The show is open to the public and will run through January 30th. Library hours are 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday-Friday.

If you are unable to visit during business hours, the library will also be hosting a book discussion with Dr. Kathryn Cramer Brownell, author of "The Entertainer-In-Chief: How Gerald Ford and Saturday Night Live Remade the American Presidency” at 6:30 PM, on Wednesday, December 10th.

Registration is required but the event is free to attend. The event will be followed by a dessert reception.

We will be featuring a guest speaker at the March 30th meeting of A2MQG, Audrey Esarey.

Audrey is a quilter from Kentucky who notes in her bio that she has sewn for a long time, but only began quilting in 2005. "In 2018, I set a personal goal to exhibit my work in a juried quilt show, which motivated me to design and create a series of original quilts. Since then, my quilts have been exhibited and recognized at Quilt National, International Quilt Festival, and QuiltCon." You can find Audrey on social media as .

Join us at the March meeting to see Audrey's quilts and hear about her journey to modern quilting. This meeting will be on Zoom and the Zoom link will be sent out shortly before the meeting.

This presentation is free to A2MQG members, however we are going to be offering guest passes for $10 to non-members. You can contact the Board at the email address below and we will coordinate the payment and make sure you have the Zoom link.
