Check out another wonderful organization offering programs for kids of all ages!
We have a few spots left in Sunday's Christmas Tree class for Kids.
In this popular class, students will construct a beautiful three-dimensional tree from a slab of clay using textures and techniques. They will top it with a colorful star which the students will paint with colored slips. This class is repeated every year with a different tree design so students can build a sculpture garden and see their progression throughout the years. Projects will be glaze fired and will be ready for pick up in 3-4 weeks for the holiday season. This class is suited for students aged 6-12 years old.
Cost $40-scholarships available

We had some amazing builders this afternoon in our new camp: The Masters: Lego and Domino.
Our first challenge was the Tallest Tower challenge and campers worked hard making some super unique and tall towers out of lego. We also explored using dominos to make some epic domino toppling happen.
More tomorrow!

Maker Works is home to more than 140 paid members. Many of which rely on the resources we provide (access to top of the line tools and 14,000 sq ft of space) to run their businesses. Without access to this space these businesses would be devastated.
Maker Works became a non-profit in 2020, just before COVID hit, so as you might imagine, the shut down and fall out thereafter had a tremendous impact on the revenue we make from memberships and classes., which all require in-person attendance. While we have managed to continue to grow slowly, Maker Works was effected greatly by the pandemic, which is why we are looking to raise $50,000 by January 15. We hope you can help.
Community participation and donations are how Maker Works is able to keep these resources available and accessible to the greater Washtenaw Community. There is nothing like Maker Works in this area, and our resources are irreplaceable to our members.
By becoming a Friend of Maker Works, you are helping to ensure that these doors stay open for another 11+ years, and we can continue educating and growing future makers while incubating small business here in our area. This donation is recurring and would be charged to you every month. Give $1, $5, or any amount you want! We are so very grateful for any contribution you can make.
