NCRC Chemical Amnesty Day!

Medical School Facilities, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), and the Office of Campus Sustainability (OCS) are hosting events that will allow laboratory occupants to clean up their spaces and dispose of chemicals.

The supply air in specific rooms of Building 520 will be shut down for preventative maintenance beginning at 6:00AM on Saturday, June 7th through 2:30PM on Sunday, June 8th.

A fire alarm test to verify successful operation of the fire alarm system will be conducted in the Medical Science Research Buildings 1 and 2 on Wednesday, May 28th.

The supply, exhaust system and fume hood fan will be shut down that serves labs and lab service rooms in the Medical Science Research Building 1 (MSRB 1) on Monday, June 2nd from 6:00AM - 10:00AM.

A project to demo a concrete floor in Medical Science 2 (Med Sci 2), Room 2710 has been rescheduled to begin at 6:00AM on Saturday, May 31st and last through 6:00AM on Sunday, June 1st.

Due to a component failure in the supply air system and current weather conditions, the ability to provide normal cooling conditions to specific rooms in Medical Science Research Building 1 (MSRB 1) is limited.

The Victor Vaughan ground floor egress only door (near the elevator) will be closed beginning at 7:00AM on Wednesday, June 4th through 3:30PM on Friday, June 6th for exterior concrete repairs.

Med Sci 1: Stairwell Closure

As part of the continued renovations to Med Sci 1 - B/D Wings, stairwell #8 will be completely closed starting on Monday, June 9th. It is estimated the stairwell will reopen by the end of July 2025.
