Chick Corea, Grammy-winning jazz musician, dies at 79 02/12/2021

RIP Chick Corea. His music helped to make me a musician. So did Chuck Mintz who let me listen to all of his Return to Forever albums while I babysat his son, (I'm still sorry about the fingerprints on the vinyl)and my Uncle Nick, who took me to see him play with Gary Burton for my sixteenth birthday. So many people make us who we are, through their creativity, or generosity, or love, or all three. Here is what Chick Corea said in his final post on facebook: “It is my hope that those who have an inkling to play, write, perform or otherwise, do so. If not for yourself then for the rest of us. It’s not only that the world needs more artists, it’s also just a lot of fun.”
