Come to next week's informational meeting of the Program for Liberal Arts, Business and Entrepreneurship (LABE) to be held in the Riverside Rooms on Tuesday, October 11, from 4:00 - 5:00 pm.
The LABE program is a new and dynamic initiative designed specifically for students who wish to carve their own academic path, make their education their own, and combine a liberal arts major with significant course offerings from the disciplines of business and communication.
The LABE Program allows students to position themselves within a world that demands a slight yet formal level of business experience while studying a major field (English, psychology, history, music, art, etc.) which interests them deeply. Is your major currently "undecided" or "undeclared" or simply "Liberal Arts"? Would you like to major in one of the liberal arts but aren't quite sure what you want to do WITH that major? Perhaps, the LABE program is for you?
You decide your major, and then you add to this major those additional courses which employers have historically sought when hiring recent and newly-minted undergraduates. Since it prepares students for a vast number of job experiences, nearly anyone can declare LABE as a program, and I hope that a good number of you will.
