As part of our Annual Picnic on Sunday, September 13, we're planning on hosting JM Kraemer and his Lego Church Project. However, we still need to arrange for transportation for JM and his large Lego church from the Saginaw area. National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

Please gather at the Memorial Stone on Elizabeth Street following the 9:00 a.m. Mass to pray the Rosary and remember the lives of those lost to abortion.

Immediately following the Rosary, please join members of Ann Arbor 40 Days for Life for light refreshments at the canopy on Elizabeth Street.

September 1 is the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. St. Thomas will observe this day of prayer by celebrating the Mass for the Care of Creation at our usual Tuesday Mass times (7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m.).

This day of prayer is inspired by an ancient liturgical tradition of the Eastern Church, according to which September 1 is the day symbolizing God’s act of creation of the world. It was officially established by Pope Francis for the entire Catholic Church in 2015. In 2025, Pope Leo XIV promulgated a votive Mass for the Care of Creation for this occasion, which we will celebrate at our regular Tuesday Mass times at St. Thomas.

With school starting this week, we're all thinking about education. Here at St. Thomas, we partner with parents, the primary educators of their children, to prepare young people for a lifetime of faithfulness to the Lord. This includes their first Holy Communion and Confirmation. Don't forget to register your children for Faith Formation this fall on our website!

The first meeting of Rosa Mystica, our new society for young ladies, included mothers for “Pasta and Prayer.” We learned to make pasta, which we then had for dinner, followed by Adoration and Confession.

Rosa Mystica is a group for girls ages 13-18 focusing on prayer, formation, service, sacraments, friendship, and fun. Meetings will be held on Saturdays after the 4:30 p.m. Mass and will involve dinner and a speaker/enrichment followed by Adoration and Confession in the church.
