Inspired by Stanford’s Designing Your Life curriculum, this interactive, four-week, in-person series co-presented by Rackham and the University Career Center will teach Master’s Students principles for designing a fulfilling career. Details:

The University of Michigan Board of Regents announced Dr. C. Cybele Raver as its choice to become the university’s 17th president. The Board will hold a special meeting on Sept. 1 to take a formal vote. Pending approval, Dr. Raver’s appointment will take effect Dec. 1. Dr. Raver, currently the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Vanderbilt University, is a nationally recognized leader in higher education. myumi.ch/xjwJm

Rackham’s new 8-week Research Leadership in a Global Context Certificate is for master’s students, doctoral students, and postdocs, with sessions taking place Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. starting October 1.
