Heidi Hellenga and Eleanor Guerra were the recipients of the Tristan Decker Award this year. This award is in honor of Tristan Decker, one of our beloved co-op students, who was called home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2023. Tristan's classmates and friends made the following list of attributes that described him: joyful, generous, compassionate, respectful, happy, loyal, funny, kind, charming, loving, friendly, playful, fun, creative, smart, and selfless. This award recognizes Christian excellence and is inspired by Tristan's Christ-centered life and the qualities mentioned. He loved the Lord and his life exemplified that.
The award is also guided by the verse Colossians 3:17, which says, "And whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus."

Thank you Heidi and Eleanor for your testimony and kindness that is recognized by your peers!
