Our 2026-2027 School Year Ankeny Day Camps are HERE! Introducing this year's themes- held in partnership with Little White Schoolhouse in Ankeny🎉🙌
This year we are offering:
Full Day Camp 8-3 for $89
Half Day Camp 8-11 or 12-3 $50
For current Kindergarteners-5th graders

Our program is STEM+ Art Enrichment with hands-on learning, creativity, and a fully developed curriculum that aligns to Iowa's common core and next gen science standards.

We are screen-free, encourage higher-level thinking skills, creativity, imagination, building +design, and time to let kids BE KIDS! Lots of play-based learning, creating, and working together time- all things Challenge Island.

We hand-selected the best of our curriclum for these single day camps with a few brand new ones- Slimetopia 5 (A sneak peak to what we will offer in summer camps for 2027, a spin on a kid-favorite the Entrepreneur camp experience, a lot more SLIME infused lessons, and so much more!)

First 6 Week Session:

🎉🌴TEACHER SPOTLIGHT:
Sydney is just finishing up her 2nd summer leading our STEM program here in Central Iowa and is a long-time educator + kindergarten teacher in the local school district!
She brings us her crazy impressive organizational skills + creative design and forms strong relationships with camp students and families. She has fully embraced all things Challenge Island and adds her dose of teacher magic to our summer program.

We appreciate all of her hard work and contribution during the summers at Challenge Island- thank you Sydney for using your unique talents and giving your time to our central DSM families this summer!!

Ages 5-11
$275.00 (Same for non-residents)
We have had an AMAZING summer at Fox Creek Park & Pavillion and have met so many wonderful kids and families. This camp is packed full of fascinating geography + world history as the kids get to design their own "cruise ship" to travel the world landing at some pretty cool places for each project & activity!

Register through Waukee Parks & Rec- cut off date is this Friday.
