Meet Miss Cali!

We are excited to introduce Miss Cali to our school community! She brings a wonderful combination of classroom experience, mental health training, and a passion for supporting the whole child.

Miss Cali graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K–6), along with endorsements in Reading, English Language Arts, and Teaching Technologies (K–8). She has experience teaching kindergarten and first grade, as well as working as a substitute teacher and full-time nanny.

Her passion for supporting students extends beyond academics. After teaching in a large public school district, Miss Cali pursued five years of graduate education with the goal of becoming a Clinical Mental Health Clinician. Her studies included both secular and Christian clinical mental health counseling programs, strengthening her understanding of adolescent wellness and equipping her with valuable tools for coping, communication, and emotional well-being.

Most recently, Miss Cali worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician at an Autism Clinic, where she loved supporting neurodiverse learners one-on-one. This experience deepened her appreciation for individualized, hands-on learning—an approach that aligns beautifully with Montessori education.

Miss Cali is also completing her Secondary Montessori Accreditation through CMSTEP (AMS-certified). This summer, she spent several weeks immersed in Montessori secondary classrooms, gaining practical experience and preparing to bring those skills and ideas into our Forte environment.

A Heart for the Whole Child

Miss Cali believes strongly in supporting students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Her background in mental health counseling gives her additional tools to help adolescents develop resilience, confidence, healthy coping skills, and strong communication.

We are so excited to welcome Miss Cali to our school community and look forward to the warmth, experience, and passion she will bring to our students. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!

Week One Recap 🌿

What a beautiful first week of school! From our youngest learners to our oldest students, we began the year with our hearts and minds centered on what matters most: worship first, wholistic growth always.

Our days are rooted in Christ. Through worship, prayer, Scripture, and community, we seek to help each child know that learning is not separate from faith—it is an expression of loving God with our whole selves.

And then, we learn, explore, wonder, work, create, serve, and grow. 🌱

In true Montessori fashion, we’re nurturing the whole child—spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We’re cultivating independence and responsibility, encouraging curiosity and concentration, building meaningful relationships, and creating space for each child to grow at their own God-given pace.

Week one gave us so many glimpses of what’s ahead: joyful classrooms, new friendships, purposeful work, brave first steps, big questions, and plenty of grace along the way.

We’re grateful for a God who is present in every lesson, every conversation, every challenge, and every small victory.

Worship first. Wholistic growth always.
Here’s to a year of growing in wisdom, wonder, character, and faith. 🤍

Sometimes the greatest transformation isn't a higher grade.

It's the moment a child finally believes:

"I can do this."

"I have something valuable to offer."

"I was created for a purpose."

We have seen students come alive when they are given space to create, explore, worship, lead, and discover their gifts.

A child who once thought they weren't good at school begins to see themselves as a learner.

A child who felt different begins to see their uniqueness as a strength.

A child searching for belonging finds a community.

That is why we do what we do.

Because every child deserves the opportunity to discover the person God created them to become.

**Some children are not behind. They are simply different.**

They may be the child who asks a hundred questions.

The child who needs to move while they think.

The child who sees connections others miss.

The child whose creativity doesn't always fit inside a worksheet.

The child who has incredible gifts—but hasn't always felt successful in a traditional classroom.

At TCWA, we believe differences are not obstacles to overcome.

They are gifts to cultivate.

Montessori education honors the individual child by allowing students to learn at their own pace, follow their curiosity, and grow through independence and discovery.

Because every child was created intentionally.

And every child deserves an environment where they can flourish.

Every parent has wondered at some point...

"Who will my child become?"

Not just what job will they have.

Not just what grades will they earn.

But who will they become?

Will they know they are loved?

Will they discover their gifts?

Will they have the courage to pursue God's calling for their life?

At TCWA, we believe every child carries something unique.

Our role is not to create their purpose.

God has already done that.

Our role is to help them discover it.

Through relationships, worship, creativity, mentorship, and meaningful learning, students begin to see themselves the way God sees them.

Because the greatest gift we can give a child is not just knowledge.

It's helping them understand who they were created to be.

See how TCWA can be a part of that for your child - contact us today [email protected]

There is still room at the table.

The 2026–2027 school year is approaching, and we still have space available in our 1st–9th grade classrooms.

But enrollment isn't just about filling seats.

It's about finding the right community.

A place where students are known by name.

A place where teachers see their strengths.

A place where worship is woven into everyday life.

A place where learning is not just about completing assignments, but about discovering purpose.

If your family has been searching for something different, we invite you to come experience TCWA.

Your child's next chapter may begin here. Find out today www.tcwaiowa.com/join

Some families are looking for something different.

Not because they are against something else.

But because they believe there is another way.

A way where children are encouraged to think deeply.

A way where creativity is celebrated.

A way where faith is foundational.

A way where students are not simply prepared to fit into the world—but equipped to impact it.

TCWA is for families who believe education should be more than a system.

It should be a community.

It should inspire curiosity.

It should cultivate courage.

It should help students discover who God created them to be.

If your family has always felt a little "outside the box"...

You may have just found your place.
