Meet Miss Cali!
We are excited to introduce Miss Cali to our school community! She brings a wonderful combination of classroom experience, mental health training, and a passion for supporting the whole child.
Miss Cali graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K–6), along with endorsements in Reading, English Language Arts, and Teaching Technologies (K–8). She has experience teaching kindergarten and first grade, as well as working as a substitute teacher and full-time nanny.
Her passion for supporting students extends beyond academics. After teaching in a large public school district, Miss Cali pursued five years of graduate education with the goal of becoming a Clinical Mental Health Clinician. Her studies included both secular and Christian clinical mental health counseling programs, strengthening her understanding of adolescent wellness and equipping her with valuable tools for coping, communication, and emotional well-being.
Most recently, Miss Cali worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician at an Autism Clinic, where she loved supporting neurodiverse learners one-on-one. This experience deepened her appreciation for individualized, hands-on learning—an approach that aligns beautifully with Montessori education.
Miss Cali is also completing her Secondary Montessori Accreditation through CMSTEP (AMS-certified). This summer, she spent several weeks immersed in Montessori secondary classrooms, gaining practical experience and preparing to bring those skills and ideas into our Forte environment.
A Heart for the Whole Child
Miss Cali believes strongly in supporting students academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Her background in mental health counseling gives her additional tools to help adolescents develop resilience, confidence, healthy coping skills, and strong communication.
We are so excited to welcome Miss Cali to our school community and look forward to the warmth, experience, and passion she will bring to our students. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
