🌈 We were welcomed back on Monday by a beautiful rainbow over our school—and what a perfect way to begin a new year! 🌈

Our first week at Northwest has been filled with lots of learning, lots of laughter, and lots of new memories! 🐾

From settling into new routines and reconnecting with friends to diving into new learning, our Jaguars have had a wonderful start to the school year. We are so proud of the way our students have jumped right in, supported one another, and brought their best selves to school each day.

We’re back with another One Word. One Team. One Purpose. 💫

We loved getting to know our staff through One Word Wednesday, so we’re adding a second day to the series to make sure we can spotlight even more of the incredible people who make Northwest special! 🖤🤍

Today, we’re celebrating Ms. S and her word: PERSEVERE. 💪

As a paraprofessional, Ms. S is excited to watch our students grow throughout the year—and her word reminds us of the importance of continuing to encourage, support, and believe in our students every step of the way.

We know mornings can get busy, so we want to make reporting your child’s absence as easy as possible!

If your child will be absent, please choose ONE of the following ways to let us know:

💻 Infinite Campus — Submit an Absence Request (preferred)
📧 Email — nw.office@ankeny schools.org
📱 ParentSquare — A great option, especially for families who don’t speak English
📞 Phone — Call our front office at 515-965-9680. Feel free to leave a message!

🚗 Important: Please notify the office of any changes to your child’s end-of-day transportation before 2:00 PM.
