Today, Education One at Trine University pauses to remember September 11, 2001; a day that forever changed our nation and touched countless lives.
Twenty-five years later, we remember with heavy hearts the nearly 3,000 lives lost in an act of senseless terrorism. We remember the families, friends, colleagues, and communities who continue to carry their loved ones’ memories forward.
We also honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, emergency management personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, medical professionals, and countless others who answered the call that day — as well as those who continue to serve and protect our communities and our country every day.
We invite our Education One and Trine University communities to join us in an intentional moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. and 9:03 a.m. EST today, each marking the moments when the first and second planes struck the Twin Towers.
May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the enduring strength of the people and communities who came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We remember. We honor. We unite. We will never forget.
