Help us Stuff the Bus next Saturday, August 8 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.! AISD will have a bus parked at the Kroger in Angleton to collect items for our AISD school nurses' clinics. See the flyer for a list of some of the items in need, and THANKS for supporting your schools!

July’s Board meeting was filled with Wildcat excellence and important decisions for the year ahead! From celebrating a two-time National FCCLA Champion and our outstanding AHS Theatre students to welcoming new campus leaders, trustees took action on several key priorities for AISD.

Trustees approved the purchase of six new school buses and the refinancing of district debt expected to save approximately $420,000.

The district welcomed Morgan Lindsey as Assistant Principal at Heritage Junior High and Lyndsey Gilbertson as Assistant Principal at Angleton High School, strengthening campus leadership for the 2026–2027 school year.

This Tuesday's Angleton ISD Board Meeting was a productive one, and I left feeling encouraged by the progress we made for our students and staff.
Some highlights from the meeting:

• We approved a large number of library books after they completed a thorough review and filtering process. I'm glad to see quality resources making their way into our schools.

• We welcomed our newest Wildcats and approved the purchase of new seat-belt-equipped school buses to better protect our students. We'll also begin phasing out older propane buses that no longer meet current standards.

• The 2026-2027 Student Handbook was approved, with very few changes from the previous year.

• We approved construction projects to address the plumbing issues at Old Wildcat Stadium. Hopefully, this means we can eventually say goodbye to the portable restrooms!

• The school pool will receive new pool boppers to help maintain a safe water temperature, reducing the risk of injuries and helping prevent disruptions to swim meets.

• We approved the Sierra Schools contract and were able to secure additional student placements, which is great news for families who need those services.

I also want to encourage every parent and community member to get involved. School board decisions affect all of us, and your voice matters. We'd love to see more community members attend our meetings.

Important Announcement from Angleton ISD - Skyward is currently experiencing widespread outages and scheduled downtime across multiple school districts. This is due to a major system change as the company transitions to a new hosting provider along with routine end-of-year processing and maintenance.
