How exciting 🎉🥰

May’s Board Meeting recognized leadership, student achievement, district safety, and long-term planning across Angleton ISD.

Trustees honored outgoing Board President Tommy Gaines for 11 years of service, welcomed newly elected board member Katherine Winans and re-elected trustee Michael Stroman. A vote to reorganize board leadership positions followed, naming Kimi Hunter as Board President, Michael Sullivan as Vice President and Dana Tolbert remaining as Secretary.

The Board also celebrated outstanding student achievement, including National Math Stars nominees and more than 90 CTE students who qualified for State and National competitions.

In addition, trustees received an update on the completion of the district’s Achieve 2026 strategic plan, formally re-adopted the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Resolution to strengthen emergency preparedness, and approved an easement agreement with the City of Angleton to support future infrastructure growth.
