It is with bittersweet excitement that I announce I have accepted a new teaching position as Reading Interventionist at Flint Springs Elementary. Literacy has always been a passion of mine, and I am extremely excited for this professional growth opportunity. Andrews Elementary has been โ€œhomeโ€ to me these past 18 years. The students, families, and staff members will always hold a very special place in my heart. However, I am challenging myself to step out in faith to see what amazing plans God has in store for me as a Flint Springs Falcon! ๐Ÿฆ… โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ“– I am looking forward to a great 2021-2022 school year!

We are doing a spring science unit on plant growth and development. One of our experiments was to study how plants take up nutrients and water from their root systems. We placed white, fresh cut flowers into jars of water, with food coloring (blue, red, green, and purple). The kids have been very excitedly watching the flower petals change colors! We had a little leprechaun mischief and mystery today in our classroom! This morning, we found our classroom somewhat disheveled! So we made a leprechaun trap to catch our trickster. However, he pulled loose from the trap (leaving a piece of his clothing and a button), and some clues we had to follow. We never found the leprechaun, but we did find a surprise he left for us.๏ฟผ๐Ÿ€
