One of our special girls suggested that we put on a picnic & that’s exactly what we did today 🧺
How could we even say no?

We created a sisterhood for these young ladies and they are truly sticking by it 🤞we love to see it !

This day consisted of great girl talk, goal setting , accountability, lunch & of course TikToks 🤪

We look forward to watching them smash their new goals 💡

🗣 CLASS IS IN SESSION, Take notes‼️😌

Today Was the first day back for GCSD, and that means our beautiful girls are back to school for another successful school year ! 📚📆👩🏾‍🏫

Recapping their first day, some of them admitted to being nervous, seeing as most did virtual last year! However, they showed up and showed out with style and Grace today! 😌💁🏾‍♀️ We love to see it! 😍

All in all, it was pretty exciting for them to see their friends, and even a new school for some! They definitely shined bright today, and we wanted you to see their Glow! 🤩

You Glow Girl has revamped & looking forward to relaunching as we present our very first workshop 🎨
Dedicated to girls ages 12-17 💕

We look forward to a day filled with great food , awesome door prizes , discussions to help them grow & express themselves and of course a customized canvas for them to paint 👩‍🎨

This event will be held on July 11th, 2021 at 1:00 at The Ayce Center in Andrews South Carolina
📍30 E. Main Street

Admission is $10

You Grow Girl would love to adopt 2 Seniors of Georgetown County who are currently Teen Mom’s or soon to be who looks forward to furthering their education at a 2-4 year college. Please drop your bios, goals , & future plans in the comments. We look forward to meeting & speaking with you all 🌱

Due to Covid-19 , MANY of the great things that we had planned for our girls has been pushed back but we will not allow that to stop us from doing what we love 💕 we will post our upcoming events at a later time so be on the lookout for great things 😉

📣 Happy first day back to all the GCSD students; especially our middle schoolers! We pray that everyone has a prosperous, positive and productive year! You Grow Girl is excited to start its 2nd semester at Rosemary Middle School, and we wanted to inform parents that recruitment begins on Monday, August 26, 2019! Ms. Shawana and Ms. Saferia will be at 6th, 7th and 8th grade lunches for girls to sign up if interested. All girls will receive an application at that time as well!

Congratulations to one of our You Grow Girl members Ionica Scott who is apart of the girls basketball team at Rosemary Midde School 😍 Way to go girls 👏🏾

Rosemary Middle School’s girls basketball team finished the season with a 12-0 record, beating Georgetown 29-14 in the championship game. The team is coached by Michelle Scott. Sean Berry is the assistant coach. Team members are Amauri Gibson, Ericka Dean, Jonai Ward, Janiya Smalls, Shaliyah Brown, Jamonicah Greene, Javaria Singletary, Alicia Rhue, Harmony Burke, Samara McCutcheon, Maddie Berry, Mia Martinez, Shanaya Grayson and Ionica Scott. Congratulations!

February’s topic of the month is LOVE ❤️
This month we will cover self love, relationships with our significant others as well as relationships with friends & family.

This morning we began with speaking about Self-Love. We started with everyone’s definition of love before expressing Google’s definition of love. Afterwards, we did a self love survey activity that determined just how much each girl loved their self. In conclusion we developed “I Am” vision boards where the girls cut out different adjectives from magazines that described them 💁‍♀️ Pictured below are the boards that our mentors made.

This morning we hosted our very first You Grow Girl session that consisted of a small Meet & Greet with the young ladies. We provided them with refreshments, along with a brief overview of the program & what they would be looking forward too in the next few months. Each girl introduced their self & spoke about something that they are looking to grow from & we couldn’t be more excited to have taken on such a huge responsibility of helping these young ladies achieve goals of leadership, high self esteem, improving their selves in general, friendship building, & even self control. Stay tuned for our very first workshop Monday February 4, 2019.
