**IMPACTful Moments with Superintendent Dr. Bethany A. Giles**

Each week, I have the pleasure of participating in conversations with members of . On Wednesday, two conversations in particular hit differently and have stayed with me.

In the first, an administrator reflected on an interaction with a Pre-K student and said something that really stuck with me: “I thought I was having the IMPACT on him, but it turns out he was having the IMPACT on me.”

In the second, a teacher shared something seemingly simple, yet powerful: “The best we can do is show up every day.” She added, “The small things matter.”

There is so much truth in that.
Show up. Every day.

Show up for our students. Show up for our schools. Show up for our coworkers. Show up for ourselves.

Because it matters.

We don't always get to see the IMPACT we are making. We may never know which conversation, lesson, smile, word of encouragement, or simple act of being present makes a difference in someone's life.

And sometimes, we may think we are the ones making the IMPACT, only to realize that someone else has made an IMPACT on us.

That is what makes so special. We never know where the IMPACT will come from or how it may come back to us.

So, my reminder to myself and to is simple:

Keep showing up.
Every role.

Every student.

Every day.

Kindness Wins.
