We had a perfect evening at Lake Sunapee Yacht Club last night celebrating a wonderful year and thanking Amy and Jimmy for their leadership during their first year at Proctor.
As both Amy and Heather Huff, P’27 shared, Proctor quite simply transforms young people’s lives. No two students take the same path through Proctor, and we feel so fortunate to gather with this group of local parents, grandparents, alumni, former employees, trustees, and past trustees to celebrate the unique place Proctor holds in our community.
Thank you so much to the Huffs, the Beckmans P’27, ’29, and the Quackenboses P’26, ’28 for hosting this wonderful event!

Proctor inducted the 2026 class of the Athletic Hall of Fame over Alumni Reunion Weekend. Proctor’s Athletic Hall of Fame seeks to recognize and honor those individuals and teams who distinguished themselves as outstanding contributors to athletics while at Proctor and who have continued to exemplify the values core to the community: respect, responsibility, compassion, and honesty in their personal and professional lives. Congratulations to this year’s inductees:

Reagan '26 and Abby '27 share contagious enthusiasm for Rome's art, architecture, history, and food: the Pantheon's oculus and the Capitoline's reconstructed Constantine for Reagan; the historical walking tour, Caravaggio's The Calling of Saint Matthew at San Luigi dei Francesi, and delicious Roman cuisine for Abby. The physical campus changes with each decade. What proves far more durable is the culture. Culture runs underneath a community, like an operating system, mostly out of sight, until moments of challenge and celebration bring it into view – it is present in difficult conversations with a student in the middle of February, during the celebrations of Commencement Weekend, and as alumni return to campus for Reunion. Alumni Reunion 2026: The Continuity of Culture
A deep belief in students, carried by the adults who teach, coach, and live alongside them, was the common theme of the weekend, connecting alumni from five years out to fifty-five.

There is a moment every spring in schools where time feels both incredibly fast and strangely suspended. The days fill quickly with AP exams, performances, games, final projects, celebrations, difficult goodbyes, moments of reflection, and occasionally a little hair pulling.
Everyone is trying to hold onto the final moments of the year while simultaneously racing toward the finish line. Things move so quickly that it becomes difficult to fully absorb what is actually happening in the lives of our students and in the life of a community. Each of these moments carries its own story that has unfolded over the course of the year through successes and failures, joy and uncertainty, and the resilience our students developed along the way. Who They Become
"It is often difficult to recognize growth while we are living inside it day to day, and yet it becomes remarkably obvious when we pause long enough to breathe and look back."

When we gather with our alumni, we are reminded of the transformative nature of our high school years. Lives are changed, trajectories altered, and friendships forged. As we celebrated our milestone classes, a new induction class for the Athletic Hall of Fame, and heard stories about the impact of Proctor, we see that our work matters. Thank you to the 270+ of you who came back and made this year’s reunion a success!

We’ve had an action packed day celebrating the Reunion 2026! Open studios, campus tours, assembly, Java Hut, science labs, softball, and quality time together. What a great Saturday with more fun to come later this evening as we celebrate our milestone classes and induct new members into the Athletic Hall of Fame!
