Alumni Spotlight: Pike Alums Go The Distance!

Meet Charley DiAdamo and Tyler Parker, Pike Class of 2019, who teamed up for the Maine 70.3 Half Ironman in Augusta on July 26!

A Half Ironman is no small feat: 1.2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of biking, and 13.1 miles of running. When an elbow injury kept Charley from completing the race as planned, she turned to a familiar Pike connection. Tyler had completed the 70.3 the year before, so Charley reached out to see if they could team up for a relay.

“When I broke my elbow and realized I would not be able to complete the race in full, I started looking for a relay partner. I'm grateful that my Pike connection allowed me to compete, and the race helped foster the competitive spirit that Pike helped instill.”

From Pike classmates to race teammates, these two showed that a little Pike connection, and a lot of competitive spirit, can take you across the finish line!

Way to go, Charley and Tyler! What an amazing accomplishment! 🧡💚
