Also on Tuesday, the email about arrival and dismissal traffic flow will go out. Nothing has changed. - but a review is always good! 😉
Thursday, August 13th, is The 1st Day of School for 1st-5th! Don’t forget we’ll have a big yard sign out front - perfect for 1st Day pics! (Thanks PTO!)
Thursday and Friday are staggered start days for kinders. More to come from the kinder teachers to those parents.

We're back! And we started the school year off right (THANKS TO PTO!!!) with a cup o' Tom's!

Our final new teacher is Alli Bischler! Mrs. Bischler is our new K-2 resource teacher and is thrilled to join us!

Hi! My name is Alexandra Bischler, but I go by Alli. I was born and raised in Wichita and have loved calling it home my whole life. My husband, Braden, and I have been married for two years, and I enjoy spending time with my family whenever I can. I also love to travel, my favorite place to be is the lake. One fun fact about me is that I played college softball. After college, I had the opportunity to coach both a travel softball team and a high school softball team.
This will be my fifth year teaching special education. I previously taught in Goddard, and I’m excited to join the Andover team! Being closer to home is a wonderful bonus, and I can’t wait to meet my students and their families and be part of the Andover community.

Kate Wacker will be joining our FAA team, and we’re so lucky to have her at CES!

Hello! My name is Kate Wacker. I’m from Ellsworth, KS and have four sisters. I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. I’m excited to begin my teaching career and continue learning and growing as an educator.

Outside of school, I enjoy trying new recipes, reading a good book, and taking walks. Some of my favorite things include the color blue, springtime, dogs, floral scents, and donuts. I also love to cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks!

We are excited to welcome Alicia Gott to CES!! Mrs. Gott is our new counselor and we’re thrilled she’s here!

Hi! My name is Cheyenne Goodman, and I'm excited to be joining Cottonwood Elementary this year! This will be my fourth year teaching, and I love helping students grow both academically and personally. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, running, baking sourdough bread, and making stained glass. I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year and getting to know all of my students and their families.

Hi everyone! I’m Jennifer Gingerich, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Cottonwood as a 3rd grade teacher for my 16th year in education! Outside of the classroom, I love traveling, cooking up new recipes, and spending time with my husband, our two young adult kids, and our three very spoiled pups—Dexter, Archer, and Harley. A fun fact about me is, my favorite color is pink!

This week we’ll be introducing our new staff members! First up is Miss Brown!

Hi everyone! My name is Ashtyn Brown, and I’m so excited to begin my fifth year of teaching and my first year in fourth grade! I can’t wait to get to know all of my students and families this year.
A little about me—I have two brothers and a sweet niece, and I love spending my free time at the lake or hanging out with my family and friends. A fun fact about me is that I played two sports at Bethel College!

I’m looking forward to an amazing school year filled with learning, growth, and lots of fun. See you all soon!
