Andover Middle School art student Cora Dooley was just announced as a FINALIST in this year's Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes Art Effect Competition! Cora's artwork is one of only a handful of finalists chosen in the middle school category. There are 201 finalists represented by 52 middle school and 149 high school students from 16 countries around the world!

Cora's artwork, titled "Wetland Grace," was created using colored pencil and features Jacob Valentine, who fought to save the Mississippi Sandhill Crane from extinction and strengthened the 1973 Endangered Species Act as a result.

Cora's artwork is in the running for the grand prize of $6000 cash!

What a fantastic first week of MAY at AMS! From learning and laughter in the classrooms to activities and student achievements, our students continue to make us proud every day!

The weekend is here and we want to thank our staff, students, and families for making our school such a positive place to learn and grow! We are excited for all things yet to come!
