This sign holds a deeper meaning than simply warning skiers of the difficulty of the terrain. It represents living in community and all of the challenges that accompany life at Proctor and in the greater world. As wildfire smoke from Quebec continues to diminish air quality in Andover, we hike up the Proctor Ski Area and remind ourselves that the black diamond trails of life are not supposed to be easy. It is in rising to the challenge that we truly experience living. Who ever had fun coasting on a green circle anyway?
