The Andover Area Chamber of Commerce Inc gave a warm welcome this morning to our new staff members at the annual New Educators' Breakfast. New teachers, counselors and administrators were treated to breakfast, giveaways from Chamber members, school supplies and lots of raffle prizes. We appreciate everyone who attended and showed the connections that make our community strong!

Former Andover Central High School Jaguars golfer getting a big shot this weekend!
He almost quit. Then Wichita golfer Cooper Schultz earned his PGA Tour shot Cooper Schultz nearly walked off at the turn. Nine holes and a dramatic playoff later, the Wichita golfer was headed to the PGA Tour.

We're looking for students to be part of a welcome back video for our staff's Opening Assembly. Your child would just need to recite a few lines while walking on a football field. We're looking for any Andover Public Schools student age Pre-K to senior who might have a little mojo and on-camera charisma. Oh, and we pay in ice cream!

Hey, soccer fans! If you're watching Friday's World Cup game of Colombia vs. Ghana in Kansas City, keep an eye out for one of our own. Carter Rexroat-Hett, incoming sixth-grader at Andover Central Middle School, will be one of the escorts leading one of the teams onto the pitch.

We'd like to welcome Mr. David Stephenson as the new assistant principal at Andover Central Middle School!
Over the past seven years, Mr. Stephenson has been assistant principal/dean of academics at Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School. He previously served as principal at St. Mary's Colgan Junior High and Senior School in Pittsburg, and before that was a teacher and basketball coach at Augusta High School. Welcome, Mr. Stephenson!
